Social Studies
At the elementary level, students learn the major themes and concepts related to United States geography and history through project-based learning and thematic, cross-curricular, inquiry based units. Middle school students develop critical thinking skills as they look for patterns and trends in historical, social, economic, and political structures to more fully understand human nature and the evolution of society. In an effort to develop responsible, productive members of a diverse community, students study current events, cultures, and history to learn from those experiences and approach the future with knowledge, empathy, and the confidence necessary to positively impact the world. Our 7th graders study and take both the Federal and State Constitution tests.
