Kindergarten

The goal of the kindergarten program is to meet the individual needs of each child, striving to integrate knowledge, Faith and Catholic values into each day.  Our program recognizes the seven intelligences and uses a multi-sensory approach to learning.

Thematic Units are used to teach literacy and integrate science, social studies, technology and Spanish. There is a different theme or holiday focus each month, communicated through our newsletter. Particular attention is given to the bridging of oral and written language and the teaching of reading and writing.

We believe that children are naturally inquisitive, and given the right stimuli, will respond to learning in a wondrous manner. We believe it is essential that children have a good sense of self, along with a strong foundation of Christian values to give them the confidence they need to succeed.

At Saint Anne, we have established a kindergarten program, which we believe lays the foundation for successful learning. We recognize that each child enters kindergarten with a unique set of background experiences and a wide range of abilities. It is with that understanding that we have developed a kindergarten curriculum designed to support the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth of each and every child.
